Escape with Holiday Card-making

This year I decided to make 2 different holiday cards---one for the church crowd & one for those people who aren't quite so "appreciative" of the religious value of Christmas. Not that they are non-believers, it's just that they don't show it. :)

The first card is made with a Studio 490 pointsettia stamp on holiday music paper--I think it was Echo Park but I'm not sure. I embossed them then made them 3-d by bending the petals. They needed a little glitz so I spritzed them with a mix of Perfect Pearls & water.

For the other card, we found some gorgeous glazed cardstock at the Bazzill warehouse sale---I just knew I had to use it for my holiday cards! The star is embossed with gold on vellum then cut out (that was an easy cut!). The 3 "wise guys" as I call them are also embossed in gold on SU Whisper White paper (love that stuff!).  With some gold cord, it's a simplistic but elegant card.

I'm so glad the holidays are done---all the rushing & feeling like we have to do everything is all over & we can finally get back to normal. It was fun to spend time with friends and family, though, and I hope we can all do it again next year!!

Did you have a holiday moment you'd like to share?
