Escape to Stamp Camp

Today was our monthly Stampin' Up stamp camp with local demo Sherri Power.  She always has such fun cards and I always either learn something new or get a refresher on a technique. This month, I took my friend Anjie with me and we both had a great time!

As always, we do 5 different cards & 2 of each card.  This month, we did a super cute Valentine's Day card with the sweetheart cup, a gorgeous card with a flowered paper clip (my favorite!), a Thank You card using the Smooch top coat, a Best Wishes card with the butterfly embosslit, and a sympathy card with emboss resist.

Unfortunately, I don't get to make many cards these days so this stamp camp is a good way to collect some cards for emergencies. Hopefully I will get some time soon to make more of them---it's so much easier than having to come up with a design!

I love the time I get to spend creating with friends---once a month at stamp camp isn't nearly enough!

Escaping for a surprise!

My brother's family and I are planning a surprise 80th birthday party for my mom this month. WOW!! How did she get to 80??? It just doesn't seem possible!

My job was to make the invitations and I wanted something special. When I searched the web, I found this site http://www.robertsabuda.com/popmakesimple.asp that had a ton of pop-up card templates. I loved how this card has the candles pop out when you open the card! I just hope they make it through the mail system without any damage!  :)
